Here’s the press release. I’ve been waiting for Yahoo! Go to develop a version for Windows Mobile so I could review the Microsoft Live Local, Google Maps and the Go applications side by side. I have an HTC phone and used Live Local and Google Maps extensively when I was recently in New York for the Yahoo! Searchlight event.
Of the two, I relied more heavily on Google Maps, mostly to locate cross streets. But Live Local had some nice features that Maps didn’t.
I’ve refrained from writing about these applications until I could test Yahoo! Go. So I will and report back soon.
