Amid Rumors, Google and YouTube Announce Deals

Here’s the information about Google’s distribution deals re music videos (also via Reuters). YouTube, simultaneously, announced its own deals with Universal Music Group (which had threatened to sue), Sony and CBS.

I’m going to guess, using my powers of intuition and not much more, that this deal IS going to happen. We’ll see.

Update: Kevin Delaney at the WSJ (sub req’d) reports that a deal is all but imminent.
