Summary: Social Media for Local Biz

Picture 41Don Campbell offers a nice, concise summary of the panel at the Local Search Summit on using social media to promote local business. The Facebook presentation was useful and Will Scott gave a crash course on all the Twitter tools in the market (made my head spin a bit).

One of the most interesting and potentially effective “local” targeting tools on Facebook is birthday targeting: giving people an offer that they can redeem offline.

    Brands should also include a locator like Safeway and Chickfila.
