Bienvenue à Weblocal.ca

Weblocal.ca is a joint venture between YellowBot and Transcontinental Media, a print publisher self-described as “the leading publisher of consumer magazines and of French-language educational resources as well as being the largest publisher of community newspapers in Eastern Canada.”

The site allows for simplified ratings (thumbs up, stars) and for upload of images and video. It competes against YPG, ZipLocal, Google, Yahoo, etc. It appears to be fairly standard in its features and approach.

Perhaps what’s most interesting about it is that it’s a joint venture of YellowBot and a Canadian traditional media company. However it doesn’t appear to include any content from Transcontinental’s newspapers or other publications.
