MojoPages Defies the Odds

MojoPagesGrayboxx sold its assets after less than a year in the market. Arguably Judy’s Book and InsiderPages were sold before their time. Backfence and Edgeio shut down after running out of funds. But MojoPages has so far defied the odds in local.

According to a press release put out today, San Diego-based MojoPages is on track to “be profitable within 12 to 18 months.” The company appears to be aggressively partnering and diversifying its distribution and traffic acquisition strategies:

MojoPages continues to capture attention and market share by tactically forging deals with major players in the local search space, including Idearc Media’s Superpages.com, a local search expert, ServiceMaster, the nation’s largest Yellow Pages advertiser, ServiceMagic.com, the nation’s leading online home services marketplace that’s helped millions of homeowners find prescreened and customer-rated home service professionals.
