Superpages ‘Replies,’ Adds Mobile Distribution

Superpages has added to its mobile distribution of its pay for calls (PPCall) advertisers with a relationship with the new free directory assistance product from Verizon LiveSource: 1-800-THE-INFO. It already distributes PPCall advertisers to Jingle’s 1-800-Free-411.

Today the company announced a new “business reply” feature on Superpages:

Local businesses can interact with their customers and further promote their services online through Superpages.coms® new application Post a Business Reply. The new Post a Business Reply link is located next to each review and replies will appear under the corresponding review.

Others like Kudzu, Yelp and Citysearch offer this to varying degrees. Allowing businesses to comment or speak to their reviewers is very smart because it makes the site much more of a CRM platform than simply an advertising vehicle. It’s also fairer to the businesses and potentially makes it less likely that they’ll be at the mercy of lunatics and fringe reviewers.
