Superpages in Distribution Deal with Marchex

Superpages has said in the past that it’s “agnostic” about where its traffic comes from as long as it’s a quality source. Accordingly the company has been aggressive about building out its distribution network and doing deals with third parties. The latest is a deal with Marchex:

Idearc Media will place its Superpages.com performance-based advertisers on Marchex’s network of Web sites through Enhance Interactive, Marchex’s advertising network.

Marchex now has a massive local ad network in the form of thousands of local and vertical sites that have been enhanced with OpenList content and functionality. Marchex also recently acquired VoiceStar for $20+ million.

Here’s related coverage from ClickZ. One of the more interesting things about Superpages to me is how it characterizes itself as a “local search engine with roots in the yellow pages business.”
