I saw this item and thought it was the older “local search” data that comScore released with SES Local. In fact, it’s an IYP drill down on IYP search growth and market share. Here’s the release.
And here’s the market-share breakdown (Top 8 sites) July 2006:
Total U.S. Home, Work and University Internet Users:
Total Yellow Pages Searches 100.0%
- Yahoo! Sites — 23.9%
- Verizon SuperPages — 20.1%
- Google Sites –12.5%
- Yellowpages.com –12.0%
- Time Warner Network –7.7%
- Local.com –5.9%
- InfoSpace Network –5.1%
- Dexonline.com –4.1%

The divid between IYPs and Search engines is narrowing, more people are using IYPs cause of the aggressive marketing. Also, if you look at quantcast the numbers are much different and I would have to bet that yellowbook.com has a high number of searches than dexknows.com
