‘Where’ Will I Be for the Next 3 Days?

Starting tomorrow with Google's Geo Developer Day, I'll be at the Where2.0 event for the next three days — hopefully not being confused by lots of technical discussions. Instead hopefully I'll be getting a sense of what the next set of location-based applications will look like.

Where has in the past been much more of a "geek" event, focused more on technology than business models. But the show seems to have broadened this year: the subtitle is "The Future of Mapping and Local Search." It promises some very interesting discussions about social and mobile applications as they relate to place, as well as Where's signature mapping content.

I'll be blogging about it as much as I can.
