The white paper is free but requires registration. The people behind the document are very smart and thoughtful about local: Russell C. Horowitz, Matthew Berk, Chad Schott, Bill Day, Matt McGee, and Ari Jacoby. Each has written a portion of the document.
This is the second white paper on local from Marchex. The first was a broad overview of local and was intended to educate the market about its importance.
