AmericanTowns Keeps Chugging Along

AmericanTowns is one of those sites that keeps chugging along under the radar and in the background. It’s not as sexy or as loud as some in the local space but it’s been around for a number of years and its having some success. Previously the site was quite awkward to use, but yesterday it unveiled a more friendly design:

The site has been syndicating its huge events database like crazy and has been doing deals to get third party content on its own site. It’s an interesting mix of events, yellow pages content, entertainment information, community and video.
