
Citysearch, which has been using TurnHere to shoot commercials for local merchants, is now running a user-generated video contest in cooperation with sister IAC video site Vimeo. The idea is to submit a 30 second video of “you biting into your favorite food” for a chance to win a $1,000 Amex gift card.
Citysearch editors are the judges and the contest runs until March 7 (not much time for submissions). It’s called “Love at First Bite.”

The significance of all this is probably to test the water for user-submitted video on Citysearch, as well as being a general marketing and awareness effort.
