YellowPages.com Adds Video

Perhaps I had my head in the sand, but I missed the fact that YellowPages.com has formally added video. That means that all the major US publishers now have it. There isn’t really any to be seen by consumers on the site yet; right now the company is selling and shooting it. CMO Matt Crowley told me after a session at SMX Local & Mobile yesterday that the company had seen high demand for the product and was selling it at rates that exceeded expectations.

I asked him about pricing models and he told me that it would be sold at flat fee rates. Superpages, by contrast, has decided to make video a performance-based ad product (after an initial production fee).
