Ingenio and LexisNexis in PPCall Deal

PPCall listings from Ingenio will be now featured on lawyers.com and the recently launched attorneys.com. From the release:

As a part of the agreement, Ingenio will power and support the LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell Attorney Match — Direct Call Service, a new online advertising service hosted on attorneys.com’s assisted search lawyer directory. Advertisers on attorneys.com and lawyers.com will also become a part of the Ingenio Pay Per Call advertising network, expanding their reach to a variety of marketing channels, including leading Web search engines, Internet yellow page directories, mobile search providers, and free directory assistance services.

This is a good deal for Ingenio and will provide a channel and broader access to attorneys, which is a ripe prospect base and form the largest single print yellow pages revenue category at over $1 billion annually. For attorneys it also represents a way to get simplified distribution across a network of sites and mobile.

I recently saw outdoor advertising for lawyers.com in San Francisco, which offers a generally bland “Web 1.0″ experience. Legal ratings site Avvo is a “Web 2.0″ competitor of lawyers.com.
