Mike Orren who runs Pegasus News has been a frequent and thoughtful commenter on this blog. He sees his site, which is based in Dallas, TX, as something of a model for a local network of sites that deliver a broad yet personalized (with ad targeting) local experience. I’ve written a bit about Pegasus News in the past.
Today the company was acquired by Fisher Communications, “a Seattle-based communications company that owns and manages 19 television stations and eight radio stations in the Pacific Northwest.” Undoubtedly Pegasus News will become something of a template that will be rolled out more broadly in Fisher towns and on Fisher properties.
