Staci Kramer of PaidContent is blogging a live Craig Newmark (of Craigslist) interview at the current NAA conference. Craig’s on track to make an estimated $55 million with just over 23 employees and “doesn’t know what to do” with all the money. 
In one way of looking at it, Craig is the luckiest man online. In another way, these guys created a useful site that really solves problems for people and they’ve doggedly refused to be distracted by greed and larger opportunities.
Their apparent profitability is also about the cost structure and scalability of the business. And don’t forget Craigslist has been around for more than a decade.
