People send me so many announcements now that I can’t get to them all in a timely way — although I’d like to. From the “what I missed” file:
Yelp joins a growing list of destinations adding “send to phone” functionality:
This not only provides value to the user it indicates the increasing importance of mobile and connecting the Internet to mobile devices. ePrize launches SMB contest/promotions tool Caffeine. Here’s the WSJ’s (sub req’d) extensive write up. New Seattle-area real estate search site ShackPrices recently launched. It’s a nice looking site that resembles Trulia in many respects.
Speaking of Trulia, the site a couple of weeks ago launched national heat maps and “trends reports.” Both are an interesting presentation of the site’s data. Real estate sites Zillow and HotPads also feature heat maps.
In addition, HotPads has an interesting timeline of product and feature developments in the online real estate industry.

Thanks for mentioning HotPads, we really appreciate it. We hope that the timeline provides a useful tool for keeping track of developments and news in Real Estate search technology. Thanks again!
