iPhone IS a Game Changer

iPhoneAdmittedly I’ve had a lot of Kool-Aid this afternoon but I’m not totally drunk. I believe that but for: the high price, the bad voice network and slow Cingular/AT&T Internet connection speeds (okay that’s a lot of stuff), this phone changes the game.

I was skeptical that a single device could bring together video, data and voice. But Apple appears to have done it in any incredibly elegant way.

The screen resolution will make watching full-length mobile video viable and the screen size makes mobile Web browsing easier and better. The device looks fun (as well as practical) to use — who can say that about their cellphone? — and will likely be used more for that reason.

RIM and Palm shares were down on this announcement and with good reason. Why would you want to have any other phone at this point?
