And Now for Trulia
The folks at real estate search site Trulia saw my quotes and post about Zillow and pointed out:
We are excited to share that we now have over 1 million “homes for sale” listings available on Trulia, property data for 60mm+ homes, and over the past 6 months we’ve been the fastest growing online real estate site in the US
And a new Google Earth 3-D real estate search tool.
Very very competitive space. Trulia, which is a terrific site but doesn’t have as much brand awareness and traffic as Zillow, gets acquired before Zillow because it has less hefty VC investment and thus will be cheaper.

Trulia is a great site and has always been one of the more innovative search sites. Google should look at these guys as a way to fill out their real estate offering, which is lackluster at best right now. And you’re right, they’d be a heckuva lot cheaper than Zillow.

Hit a major milestone with 1m for-sale listings on Trulia. Finally, we add an all star Real Estate Advisory Board to provide us their wisdom as we innovate into 2007. [...]
