Yahoo! Local Becomes More Social

Loren Baker at Search Engine Journal reports on several upgrades and enhancements to Yahoo! Local, going live tonight, that will make it more personalized and more social simultaneously.

I just got off the phone with Frazier Miller, Director of Product Management for Yahoo! Local and he walked me through some of the new features. Competitors like Yelp and Judysbook offer some of these same capabilities (at least as I understand them from the call). But it sounds like this will be a nice complement to what Yahoo!’s already doing in local.

I’ll blog more this evening after I have a chance get more “hands on” with these new features.
