Just kidding. People speculated that Google would be launching an online music service at some point (as Yahoo! has and as MSFT will be; AOL just did). The appointment of Eric Schmidt to the Apple board of directors suggests that won’t happen at any time soon; it would be a conflict for Schmidt.
But the implied alliance is very very interesting. Not wanting to drink another cup of coffee today to generate any insights, I can offer nothing more than “hmmmm.” I’ll leave the analysis to Om Malik.
I’ll say this, expect Mac versions of Google apps to come out sooner now.
