That's my description of the newly established ability to add a Google Reader module to the Google Personalized Home Page (GPH). The GPH, among other things, is an RSS reader, made much easier to use by the Google Toolbar.
I was one of the few analysts who liked Google Reader (by my count), but I abandoned it because I find the GPH a better RSS reader. In fact, Reader is not a mainstream product and was unlikely to see widespread adoption. GPH by contrast is MyGoogle (apologies to Yahoo!). Now you can embed Reader as a scrolling module in the GPH.
